This is my historical fiction, the first novel in a projected series of three.

Harry and Silas meet in the shadow of the iconic Shot Towe, an historical structure in South Philadelphia that still stands.  At the time of the story it was in a section called Southwark.

From there the friends are recruited as scouts and steam south with Admiral DuPont’s massive fleet that will initiate the blockade of Southern ports, starting with an assault on Port Royal Sound in South Carolina.
